Wilfred Wilkerson was born on December 08, 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island to Elsie (Bradley) and Charles Wilkerson. Wilfred departed this life on February 15, 2021 at home with the presence of this (3) sons by his side.
Born Wilfred Wilkerson but better known as Wolfie to many, Puffa named by his Aunt Hazel, Wilkie, Uncle Wolfie & Mr. Wolfie to others. Wolfie joined the Olney Street Baptist Church in Providence, Rhode Island at an early age, and received Christ.
Wolfie left Rhode Island many years ago for a fresh start in Chicago and worked for the American Can Company & Belden Mfg. for many years upon returning back to Rhode Island and faithfully nurtured and raised his 3 loving sons that were a major part of his life which he did an outstanding job. He held numerous jobs and was also a dedicated employee for many years at Raytheon, faithfully making that trip up and down Interstate 95 which he finally retired from Raytheon Technologies in Attleboro, MA. Wolfie was a role model for any dad raising a family, wearing many hats within his household, he was also known as being a family orientated Dad and would reach out to help anyone within his ability and often going well beyond. His laughter, humor, and often giving someone a nickname was his unique signature. He will also be remembered for his passionate love and affection for his dogs that always put a smile and brought him laughter, to name a few Bossman and Louise (Weezy).
Upon his journey in his lifetime, he touched so many people along the way and leaves a host of cherished memories for all. He will be truly missed.
Preceding him in death is his children's mother Gwendolyn lajean Paschal, his parents Elsie (Bradley) Wilkerson, Thomas Charles Wilkerson, Grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jesse (Susie) Bradley, Sr., two aunts & uncles, Mr. Francisco (Hazel) Monterio, Mr. & Mrs. Jesse (Hazel) Bradley, Jr, one sister Constance (Connie) Frances Wilkerson, two brothers Herman and Edward Wilkerson.
Wolfie leaves to mourn his sons, Laron Paschal, Daryl Wilkerson, and Germaine Wilkerson all of Providence, RI, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, Special Aunt Rose Thomas of Chicago, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln followed by a service at 11:45am in the funeral home with burial in North Burial Ground, Providence. Burial limited to 25 attendees will be in North Burial Ground. Providence.
